Since today will be our first Empire-less Wednesday, I decided to post a video that I filmed a few weeks ago discussing the division amongst the black community. I feel that in order for us to be successful in fighting the system, we have to stop fighting amongst each other. We sometimes find any reason to divide ourselves and it's very counterproductive to the movement that we could make if we stood together. We have to remember that "United We Stand, Divided We Fall". In this video, I touch on issues ranging from the beef between African Americans at PWI's vs. the African Americans at HBCU's, the lightskin vs. darkskin battle and the origins of that division, the first Bus Boycott that started in my hometown, Baton Rouge, La. , and the Little Rock Nine. I hope you guys enjoy this video and feel free to comment.
Hey you guys! I know that it's been about a month in a half, but I am so happy to be back editing. I have been crazy busy with school, work, family, and getting ready for graduation that I haven't been having time to edit all these videos that I've been filming. It's ok though, I am trying to get back on it. In this video, I wanted to give you all my 10 favorites! These are things that I've been obsessing over and I want you all to know so that you can see for yourselves. I will have them listed & where you can find them linked below.
My 10 Favorites:
In this video, I give you a lookbook showing off 3 fun and flirty looks which are Chic, Sweet, & Street. I hope you all enjoy! Below I will list the outfit details. (Note that this video is for inspiration and I didn't list the specific places that I purchased majority of the items. This is because a lot of them are pieces that I've had for years.)
Look 1: Chic
This look is for the woman that's classy and bold. I wore a black & white houndstooth cardigan with a black tank top and light gray skinny jeans. I added my red sandals with the gold spikes and red lips for a pop of color and a black floppy hat to complete this look. This look is really easy to put together and it gives you a mysterious yet glamorous vibe.
Look 2: Sweet
Whenever you combine a skirt, the color pink, and floral print, you are bound to end up with a outfit that is very feminine and sweet. I paired a pink sweater with a floral print skirt and some tan sandals that i've been holding on to for years. To make the look even more girly, I added a gold and pearl statement piece necklace from icing along with pink lips.
Look 3: Street
Sometimes I like to switch it up and look more swaggy and comfortable. This outfit is really easy to put together. First, I cropped my hoodie by cutting off the pouch-like pocket. Then, I paired it with my distressed, high-waisted jeans. I wore the same red lipstick and heels that I did in the first look because I wanted to put a sexier twist on the hoodie look. Although I wore heels, you can always wear some Chucks or Jordans instead for a super comfortable look.
Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great holiday and that you are starting your new year off right! So far for me, everything has been going great. I've been focusing on being more productive this year, setting goals, and doing whatever I need to do to achieve them. I thank you all for supporting me these past few years and I hope that I can continue to not only entertain but to make some sort of impact on your lives. Below is my youtube trailer entitled "Life of a Fashionista" which shows you a brief glimpse of my life and my brand. Hope you enjoy and once again, welcome to 2015!

I am so thankful for all the support that you have given me over these past 2 years. This upcoming year, I will strive to post more videos and do more interactive things with you all such as uStreams and giveaways. Just stay tuned because I plan to make next year bigger and better.
Now, let's talk about today's video. I think that it's time for a Real Talk. The video above is about Racism in America and the fight for justice. I usually don't like to speak on such controversial topics but I recently experienced a racist occurrence and I felt like I had to tell the story. I also touch on related subjects such as the death of Mike Brown, Eric Garner, life attending a predominately white institution and the white privileged in this video. I hope that this video is in someway enlightening and it sparks a fire in you to inform others of these issues.
Hey you all! I know, I know, it's been a little minute since i've made a post and I blame it all on my hectic school semester. Although school has been keeping me busy, don't think that I haven't been filming and working on some things. Today, I just wanted to give you all a throwback video that I made around New Year's last year. Even though it was originally made for New Year's, you can wear these outfits for other outings as well. This video gives you 3 different looks that all incorporate leather, which is the season's hottest staple that's here to stay. Hope you all enjoy and be on the lookout because I have some new videos coming soon! Later!
Fall is here & it just feels so right! This is my favorite season because I love the refreshing breeze, watching the leaves turn, and ordering those seasonal drinks from the coffee shop. Another thing that I love about Fall is the transition of style. This is the time of year to start layering your clothes, rocking those cool hats & spicing up that makeup! In this video, I give you all an inexpensive Fall makeup tutorial. I hope you enjoy! Below I will list the products used.

Hey you guys! Last week I got braces so today I wanted to do a real talk. I got bonded last Thursday, August 14th and I have to admit that it's been a rough week adapting to being a Metal Mouth. The worst part is that I can barely eat anything! That is torture for me but I made it through the first week. The first week is the worst week! lol. In this video, I share a childhood experience and give a few tips for anyone that has been debating on whether they want braces. I've also been filming Brace Face Vlogs so that you all can see my progress, so be on the look out for those. Hope you guys enjoy and I hope that this will help you guys with your decision if you are debating on getting braces. Until next time, Lay-taaa!
In this video, I show you all 6 fun & flirty looks that you guys can wear this Summer using pieces that you all may have in your closet. Below is a description of each outfit.
Look 1: Tie Dye
This outfit is very simple with a Tie Dye dress that I got from Century 21 in New York, paired with a pale pink clutch and wedges. For accessories, I wore a gold DIY (Do It Yourself) body chain that I made, a gold mirrored bangle & my gold cross ringlets. This outfit is perfect for a lunch date.
Look 2: Flower Power
In this look, I wear a nude colored cami and some high-waisted shorts along with my favorite floral chiffon shirt that I wore unbuttoned to look like a kimono. I accessorized this outfit with my DIY floral headband that I made, some shades and a teal cross-body bag. For shoes, I wore some cognac colored strappy sandals. The sandals have a heel but it's low enough where it wouldn't be painful to walk in for long periods of time. You could also exchange the sandals for some flip flops if you don't want to wear heels at all. This outfit would be great for any festival event where you would want to be fashionable but comfortable.
Look 3: Pastels
This is my favorite outfit in the lookbook because it's so feminine and chic! I wore my nude pink crocheted blouse that I also purchased from Century 21 in New York with a mint colored skater skirt that I purchased from Forever 21. I also wear my same pale pink wedges that I work in the first look, along with my gold bangle. You can wear this look for a nice day out with the girls or mid-day happy hour.
Look 4: Maxed Out
This look is very quick & simple to achieve. I just wore a striped maxi with some color-blocked wedges. I also wore my gold tribal earrings and a forest green belt to cinch in the waist. You can wear you're maxi with or without a belt, but I prefer to wear mines with a belt because sometimes maxis can be a little loose & unflattering to my figure. You can also substitute your wedges for sandals. Maxi's are great for when you're out running you're everyday errands or if you just want to look cute effortlessly.
Look 5: Shady Lady
In this look, I strut in a lavender sleeveless chiffon shirt that's tucked into a purple skirt. I wore a neutral colored cami beneath the shirt and some white & gold sandals. This outfit is very similar to the color-blocking trend but instead of combining different colors, I mixed different shades of the same color. This can be done with done with any color and any wardrobe pieces. This is something cute that I would wear to class or for a walk through the park.
Look 6: Gone with the Wind Fabulous
Lastly, I wrap the lookbook up with a flowy high-low dress that came with a chain waist belt. I kept this look really simple by wearing some sandals but you can always dress it up with some heels and a blazer. This outfit would be good for a night on the town to do something cool like going to a elegant open mic night or to a museum. You could even wear this dress to a summer wedding if accessorized properly.
Hope you enjoy and be on the look out for more fashion lookbooks!
In Part 3 on Sierra Sharae Takes New York, I show you all some real Mexican food at a restaurant named Tacombi and I also show you all 5th Ave. After 5th Ave. While on 5th Avenue, we stopped by the Ralph Lauren Mansion. Afterwards, I bring you all to Central Park.
